The game studio that brought you Minecraft, Mojang, has cancelled a project with another company due to unique reasons, as the project was in its prototype stage. The project was supposed to be a first person shooter where Mojang and another company collaborated with one another, but has ended.
The reasons for the cancellation can be best expressed by the man himself, Notch. Notch says that Mojang "did not want more external dependencies" and that "The success of Minecraft meant we could focus on projects fully owned by us."
Although, there will be collaborations in the future, but if the other company wants to "make money", then there won't be any collaboration between them at all, interesting.
Its been almost a month now since my last post, and I am sorry for not updating the site. Due to the technical difficulties of my internet connection, I wasn't able to connect until at least three AT & T technicians came over and finally resolved the problem by giving me a new modem.
Although, the good news is that I will continue to post starting tomorrow, so take care everybody!
Video game developer, The Creative Assembly, has announced their next game in the turned-base/real time strategy Total War series, Total War: Rome II. Rome II will be the eighth "standalone" game in the series and is a successor of the 2004 game, Rome: Total War. With the mass support for the next Total War to take place in Rome, the developers have listened and surprised everyone with their announcement by releasing a live action announcement trailer:
The proposed release date is sometime in Q3 of 2013, as the developers strictly promise to have a larger campaign map with possible expansion to the east. Visuals will be improved dramatically with their new graphics engine and a new camera system that will allow players to focus on one of the possibly many thousands of soldiers on the battlefield. PCGamer caught up with the lead designer for Rome II and had an interview with him were you can watch it here:
If you want to learn about every detail that has been revealed, you can check out PCGamer's article here.
Keep in mind, if you don't like to see human beings turned into crash test dummies, don't watch the videos!
With the ongoing action sporting event, X Games Los Angeles 2012, which ends tomorrow, one event that truly reminded everyone that RallyCross is a dangerous auto sport was when yesterday, Finnish driver Toomas Heikkinen jumped a 50 foot gap and fell short of the landing, causing his vehicle to crash head on into the steel ramp.
Heikkinen is a X Games rookie and having this happen to him will leave a strong impact on him, as his RallyCross inspired Ford Fiesta landed upside down at the bottom of the gap, causing his vehicle to catch on fire as he escaped from the Fiesta.
Although, good news is that Heikkinen only suffered minor abdominal pain and a broken ankle, which could have been worse if it wasn't for the safety features in his vehicle. As for now, it's his decision if he still wants to compete in the RallyCross portion tomorrow, glad that he is okay.
Longer version with aftermath
And take note of the cheesy sound effect when Heikkinen collides with the ramp.
With another rumor that goes into the book of Half-Life 2: Episode 3 rumors, is it actually official concept art or just fan made? Or is it just Valve trying to delay Episode 3 much further by trying to give fans little to no updates on the progress?
A fan site dedicated to Valve, Valvetime.net (Link to Thread), has recently made a thread that shows possible concept art for the next Half-Life 2 Episode, showing proof that the art is made for the setting of post Episode 2. Examples include a crashed helicopter in an arctic setting and character Alyx wearing Eli's jacket. Also, the drawings also featured alternate dimension Xen and the Advisors for the Combine in Xen.
One thing to know that these images were from 2008, but were "uncovered" yesterday, as these images might not set the tone for the current development of Episode 3. Do you think these concepts are official? Already, there have been many arguments made by readers, as many went bonkers or just made fun of Valve.
From the makers of Minecraft, Mojang has released a trailer for their upcoming game "Scrolls."Scrolls is a fantasy collectible card game, for example, Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon and such, where you make your decks consisting of spells, monsters, and structures trying to destroy three of the five "idols" that the opponent has as you try to protect your own from the opposing player. If that was confusing to you (which was confusing to me), you can watch the trailer below showing some gameplay.
The game is approaching the closed alpha testing stage, as it will have single-player and multiplayer matches. Although, an open beta stage will be released to the public in similarity to the way Minecraft was distributed, where you can buy the game at a reduced price. Mojang hopes to add numerous features to the game, as they said in their post on the game's website today, saying:
"We will still have a big bag of goodies that we plan to include over time, such as an auction house where you may buy or sell scrolls from each other and additional features in the world such as character customization, items, quests and so on. If you’re wondering why we would release a game that’s obviously not finished, the reason is simple: We want your feedback in good time to help us shape Scrolls to be the next big online Collectible Card Game!"
If you want to learn more about Scrolls, head to the game's website here.
If you've seen an image of a red car that has been warped with another vehicle throughout the internet, here it is! For you car lovers, this would tear your heart out, as a Craigslist post from Pike, Kentucky, which is in the hills of the Appalachians, shows a result of car surgery.
The title for the posting "1962 International rat rod?" can definitely say that the owner has no idea if this piece of abomination is a rat rod or not. Consisting of parts and full pieces from other various vehicles, features include alloy wheels, tilt steering, power seats, cruise control, and a dashboard. What looks like to be a Pontiac Grand Am, it is mashed up with a cab that is from a 1962 International pickup, classy eh? Lets get to the pictures of this fail rat rod:
The asking price is $3000 firm, and in the post, the poster puts "-have probly twice as much invested", showing that the owner put his time and money into this project. The owner says there isn't any problems with the vehicle besides an issue with the air conditioning unit, as it is titled under International. The owner also says that he has many other projects in the works, and I hope those projects don't like the this!

This is now a false document, Microsoft has announced the Surface Tablet on 6/18.
Since the leak of the 56 page document of the next Xbox a few days ago, more information has been leaked, but not about the next Xbox, but a tablet. Reports have been popping up throughout the internet showing that Microsoft is ready for a press release of a tablet named, "Xbox Surface."
Details have been leaked for the tablet, showing that it will have a 7 inch multi-touch LED screen with a maximum resolution of 1280 by 720. Also, the Xbox branded tablet also has support "for up to four wireless game controllers" as well as a storage space of 250 gigabytes. The power of this tablet is quite powerful for a tablet, boasting various high performance parts. For a full detail of specifications of the tablet, you can check them out here, and you might want to expand the image for a clearer view:
A press conference will be held today by Microsoft in Los Angeles, as people speculate that the tablet will be announced there. Will it be another normal tablet? Or will this kick every other one's in the butt? Also, do you think this is real? Or just another troll attempt by Microsoft?
With the next Xbox coming up, people have been anxious to hear when the 720 is coming out with what features. Eventually, a document was discovered online consisting of 56 pages of information about the next-gen Xbox, to believe or not believe?
The "Xbox 720" in the document is said to be launched sometime in 2013 with a price tag of only $299. With that price tag, it will also include the second version of the Kinect, "Kinect V2." More features will include Blu-Ray as well as visuals that are said to be 4-6 times better than the current 360. A codename called "Fortaleza," appears in the document, showing "Augmented Reality" glasses that is said to be in development by Microsoft and to be used with the 720. Although, the glasses won't be coming out after the release of the 720 until sometime in 2014. A ton of other information is available through the document, please view in full screen for maximum pleasure.
UPDATE: The document has been removed, ordered by law firm Covington & Burling, who advises Microsoft. :(
Don't get too happy, as this document was released back in 2010! Some details that were revealed in the document have already been announced by Microsoft such as "Smart Glass," which was unveiled during E3 2012. Is this a fake? Maybe...maybe not. What do you think?
Since the "stance" style has hit the globe, the notorious quote "low is a lifestyle" doesn't have any limits. Lowriders have been in the scene for quite a while, born in the United States of America itself. Although, this special 1962 Chevrolet Impala made its way to the other side of the Pacific Ocean, in Australia.
The owner, Ben Clarke, has kept the old timer very fresh, looks like it just came out of the lot. Even the interior looks brand new, very well done Mr. Clarke, very well done... Pictures can be seen below, provided by Daniel J. Oxer:

What is DayZ? DayZ is a zombie apocalypse mod for Bohemia Interactive Studio's ArmA II game, where the player will step foot on a fictional region of land called "Chernarus", which is plagued with the undead and sparse survivors. The region is open world, consisting of 225 km^2 (squared) of land to adventure in!
Features in this mod include the zombies that spawn, as well as new weapons and vehicles that join the ranks of the many other weaponry/transportation that are available for use. Weapons range from military weapons to personal pistols/rifles, and non conventional weapons such as crossbows. Vehicles that are available for use can be repaired and can even be scavenged for parts! Although, many of the vehicles will be missing parts, so your scavenging skills will be put to use.
Here is a fan made trailer for DayZ, credits go to user 00998tim:
The default ArmA II medical system is revamped for DayZ, as getting shot will cause bleeding and loss of blood until the wound gets bandaged. If the loss of blood becomes too great, the player will fall unconscious, fun huh? Getting shot in the leg won't help with your surviving skills, as you won't be able to walk after getting hit down there, unless you inject yourself with morphine and straggle away. To make injuries more realistic, pain is also a factor in this mod, as pain will cause the screen to shake until you take painkillers.
New objects have been added to the default game, and a lot of them were added, from small details to large details. Water canteens will be very useful as they were added with tons of other objects such as , food, junk, car parts, and many other objects.
Afraid that you'll lose data when a server crashes? Don't worry, as all statistics are saved on an external database, and will load once you log back in.
As you spawn by the shore of Chernarus, your best bet is to scavenge for supplies as soon as possible, and as once you have supplies, you're ready to survive as long as possible. A vital part in DayZ is eating and drinking, as wild animals can be killed and eaten, which will let you live longer and regain blood.
The requirements for DayZ is having ArmA II: Combined Operations, the DayZ files which can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of the post, and the balls to play! Here are the current statistics for the mod below:
Stats on 6/12/12
The average life expectancy for all players of the mod is only 31 minutes, up from around 27 minutes a couple of weeks ago when I checked.
Here is an infographic that you should read before getting the game, only outdated by a tad, but has a lot of information inside!
For more information and the download for DayZ, click here.
Hello readers! In the coming hours and days, the site will be remodeled heavily and changes will be made. Don't fret if you see many weird layouts and misaligned boxes, as I will be busy trying to find a great layout that will make the site much better to look at and navigate in. So stay tuned!
In recent news regarding E3: 2012, gameplay for The Elder Scrolls Online has been revealed. The game's mission is to be "accessible" to many people as possible, as well as keeping the style similar to the main Elder Scrolls games. You can watch some gameplay in the video below:
Up to "200 players" will be allowed in a game at the same time, fighting battles and such. Also, there will not be dragons available, as the game will be set in the second era. So, what do you think?
Some video game analysts suggests that the next generation of consoles will be coming by the end of 2013, too early perhaps? Arvind Bhatia, an industry analyst, predicted that the next PlayStation 4 and Xbox will come near the the end of 2013, in a more likely probability. Bhatia says that,
"Based on various conversations we had at the conference, we believe it is all but a given that either Microsoft or Sony or both will launch their new consoles next year"
Another analyst agreed with Bhatia's predication, Colin Sebastian, who expects both consoles to be launched late in 2013. Sebastian went into details as he says the next consoles will have much better processing power all around, making improvements in all fields such as power, graphics, and speed. Also, new features in the next consoles predicted by Sebastian include implementation of new features for online and microtransactions as well as free to play "revenue models" that are "flexible".
Bhatia eventually said E3 2012 failed to impress so far since there weren't any major announcements made. The reason for Bhatia to be disappointed is that he was hoping that announcements on price cuts would happen , as well as the Wii U price, and the software that comes with the Wii U. Eventually, none of that occurred...
What do you think about the next generation of consoles? Will they be coming out sometime next year or in 2014?
Once production of a vehicle begins, what happens to the real size clay models of the vehicles? Well, the automotive designers at Jaguar who designed the XF decided to take a different route, by using axes to destroy their clay creation.
A stress reliever? I say yes, busy bashing away must of been fun. You can check out to the video below, showing three Jaguar engineers busy destroying a full size model of the XF to pieces. Enjoy!
The well done editing and music made the video much more interesting, what do you think?
Coming from the Electronic Arts(EA) press conference during E3, video game company Crytek revealed their latest game, Crysis 3, and showed it off for an audience with a demo of the game. With the stunning visuals, you will be awed by the improvements over the years.
One thing to be alert is that the in-game images are somewhat blurry, as they were taken during the demo, but enjoy!

A Wisconsin man by the name of Justin Beno was ordered by the state government to turn over his cars for crushing or face jailtime. A sting was organized to catch grey market vehicles (legal, but unofficial/unauthorized) as consequently, a Wisconsin Department of Transportation investigator found two postings by Justin Beno for the sale of his 1995 and 1996 Nissan Skyline GTR, in which one was an actual vehicle used in the Fast and Furious movie.
Eventually, the "buyer" asked Beno if the vehicles could be titled, as he replied that they could be titled in Florida and then re-titled back in Wisconsin, which alerted the authorities. Both of Beno's cars were seized and he was charged with one felony of having no VIN on his owned vehicles, two felony counts to commit fraud, as well as misdemeanors for the missing VINs.
The deputy district attorney of Brown County, Dana Johnson, made an offer to Beno to give up the two vehicles and accept the misdemeanor charges or face jailtime. Although, Beno made a counter-offer of paying all the fines and find buyers overseas for the vehicles, but eventually, it was declined...
The worst will happen, as the two beloved cars of Beno will be crushed and sold for scrap, as this just had to happen at this time. In a couple of years, the Skylines will be clear of emissions and federal safety standards as the vehicles would of turned past the 25 year mark, but will not happen...
Beno said that the two Skylines were bought only with their shells, as Beno worked for years trying to assemble them finding parts around the world. He said that he bought the vehicles without their VIN tags in which the seller mailed them to Beno. Beno also said that he was not aware that it was illegal to own a vehicle that did not have its VIN attached.
This article really has my jimmies rustled, why couldn't they just sell it to another buyer outside the country? They're wasting their time and taxpayer's money just to find and get rid of vehicles that don't follow "guidelines". The government should have much better things to do with their time and money that they have, they should have in my opinion just sold the cars out of the country, problem solved!
If you want to check out Beno's Skylines, you can see it on his website, here.
With the 60th anniversary of the first two Porsche car clubs, Porsche has announced an exclusive 911 Club Coupe. The total horsepower of the 911 Club Coupe will be 430 hp with a 0-60 mph at 4.0 seconds.
The Porsche will be dropped by 20 millimeters with its sporty 20 inch Sport Techno wheels, as the Sport Design package will include a ducktail spoiler as well as new front end. The vehicle's color will only be available in a Brewster Green paint as the interior will also be only available in an Espresso interior. If you've been wondering what the next Star Wars game is, you're in luck. Today, Lucasfilm announced that they will reveal a new game franchise during E3 2012. A trailer will debut on Spike TV's Gametrailers on May 31st, Thursday, as the gameplay premiere will appear on June 4. I wonder what the new franchise is going to be about...
Wait! The film company recently trademarked "Star Wars 1313", in which Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett used "CT-1313" as an alias in the novel, Boba Fett: Maze of Deception. Could the upcoming franchise be about Boba Fett? Lets just wait and find out!
In recent news, Diablo III has reached 6.3 million sales since the game's May 15th release date. Blizzard announced that in the first 24 hours of the release alone, 3.5 million copies were sold. Also, through Blizzard's "Annual Pass", 1.2 million bought the game through the pass. To top everything off, an additional 1.6 million copies were sold since the week of the game's launch last Tuesday.
A PC sales record was broken, as Diablo III now holds the record for the fastest selling PC gaming of all time! Although, the mass amounts of people who bought the game were met with various issues regarding the battle.net service, as roughly around 4.7 million users tried to log in.
If you have Diablo III, have you successfully logged in so far? And, tell me if I should get this game, as I heard many good things about it. Also, if you would like to buy the game
If you've been waiting for the release of the next James Bond game, look no further. A new trailer has been released for 007 Legends, which shows a lot of action packed scenes coming from the next James Bond movie, Skyfall. Eventually, after the movie trailer, the actual release date for the game is revealed, talk about strategic advertising!
The actual trailer for the game starts at 1:27, as the usual jingle for the series plays, catchy eh? So, what did you think?
The game is set to release on October 16 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
What does the Bugatti Veyron, Lexus LFA, Lamborghini Aventador, and McLaren MP4-12C have in common? One word, Speed. Or, you can substitute speed for some other description you like.
Jason Cammisa of Automobile Magazine was sent to report a fierce and short battle of supercars dueling for the top spot in the quarter mile battle. This should be exciting, wouldn't it?
In this Head 2 Head episode, the Lexus, Lambo, and McLaren will race elimination style, as the fastest of the three will compete with the Veyron. Well, most of us know that who is going to win, but check out the speeds of the other amazing supercars. So...let the races...begin!
The special effects made the video much more interesting in my opinion, and I had a blast watching it. Also, I've been wondering if there ever is going to be a supercar more powerful than the Veyron. Comments, rants?

Character customization will be available through the multiplayer, which is linked to a starship called the UNSC Infinity, allowing you to modify your Spartan-IV to your liking within the game's customization ability.
A new game mode has been revealed, which are Spartan Ops missions, that are story-based missions related to the main campaign, which will have new missions on a weekly basis through Xbox Live. A good thing is that the missions will be free of charge, allowing players to play by themselves or through co-op with three other players.
I almost forgot, there's another game mode, but for multiplayer. This mode is called War Games, and will include new modes that haven't been revealed yet. This mode will take on the combat deck of the UNSC Infinity.
Well, you don't have to submit an "application" to get into the closed beta, but a simple "Like" will suffice. Easy enough?
Users who like the Mercenary Ops Facebook page will automatically be placed in a raffle to be the beta testers in the game's closed beta that starts on June 20, which can be found here.
Mercenary Ops is a F2P (free to play) third person multiplayer shooter that is set to be released to the PC during the Summer. The game is set in the near future, where "powerful corporations have led to the imminent downfall of humanity." In that sentence alone, it made me start thinking about humanity in the future , I guess the plot is just that powerful. Here is an excerpt taken from the main website:
"By the end of 2031 the collapse of the world’s governments was imminent. The global terrorism that had emerged at the onset of the 21st century had only increased in prevalence, causing federal and state-run overseers to consider and execute higher than ever defense spending initiatives to combat the growing levels of insecurity. In the wake of the devastation that followed, private, multinational corporations began to issue bailouts in order to stymie the unrest that had sprung up around the globe."
The beta will consist of six different game modes, which includes co-op missions and competitive matches that support up to sixteen players, sounds fun. Mercenary Ops is powered on the Unreal Engine 3, and you can watch the overview of the game right now:
Sorta reminds me of Gears of War, as well as Nexon's Combat Arms. What do you think?
The studio that bought you the Test Drive Unlimited games, Eden Games, is shutting down after publisher, Atari, released a report that company revenues decreased 34%. Eden Games is headquartered in Lyon, France, where a strike occurred in 2011 due to the upcoming layoffs that would happen in Atari.
Atari is currently in the process of selling investments that are related to the studio, as the latest financial report shows that company revenues sank to $51.3 million in Atari's fiscal year, which ended on March 31st of this year. A net loss of $4.78 million was also reported during the fiscal year, but was much better than the previous year with a loss of $8.02 million.
As Atari's current fiscal year is underway, the company looked ahead and sought to build their digital titles. The focus would be on mobile games as they will also look to take advantage of their partnerships and licensing. Although, there wasn't any mentioning of the company's "specific" financial goals for the year, there were expectations of improved operating income.
Eden Games was founded in 1998, and had developed games such as V-Rally in 1997 and also took part in developing Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. They are most known for developing Test Drive Unlimited in 2006 and Test Drive Unlimited 2 in 2011.
If you thought about buying a new car, you should take in mind that the vehicle will lose its value when you drive off the lot. Although there are other factors when buying a new car, car depreciation is one major factor that you will have to deal with.
There are the good news as well as bad news about car depreciation. The good news is that if you decide to drive your car for many many years, depreciation will have no effect on you. Although, the bad news is that if you decide to trade it in later, depreciation will have an effect on the price. Today, I was wondering why cars depreciate, so I decided to Google my question, where I came upon a really useful and interactive infographic by car website Edmunds.
As you can see, depreciation sets in as soon as you start driving your new vehicle. As wear and tear increases as well as the cars age and mileage, the car depreciates even further.
Quick post though, since this week is going to be busy. I hope you learned something from this infographic, and if you knew about this already, why not review it again? Opinions?
A new teaser trailer for Assassin's Creed 3 has been released today, making fans and viewers excited as the release date draws closer, which is on October 30, 2012 for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. You can watch the trailer here:
You can't say he took an arrow to the knee, sorry guys and gals.
What did you think about the trailer?
For a much longer trailer, Ubisoft has offered its fans to do their advertising for them by liking their Facebook page, in which reaching the set goal of a whopping 1,776,000 posts/tweets/shares to unlock the world gameplay premier, scary huh?
Spoiler alert, don't read the next paragraph if you don't want to spoil the story.
I can't wait to make the redcoat's coats much redder, and quietly (sometimes) eliminate the enemy. As for the teaser trailer, it was well done, I'm still waiting to see the fate of the redcoat. We'll just see if we can reach the goal to unlock the longer trailer.
As the November 13 release date draws somewhat closer, pre-order numbers for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has surpassed pre-orders of Modern Warfare 3. Amazon, who has collected data reports that the first day of pre-orders for Black Ops 2 was 10 times higher than the first day of the first Black Ops. To compare to Modern Warfare 3, Amazon also says that first day pre-orders were 30% higher than MW3's first pre-order day.
The Amazon record for the most pre-ordered game was Modern Warfare 3, but has been taken over by Black Ops 2. To expand Modern Warfare 3's record on Amazon, it is ranked in the top 20 pre-orders of all time that includes all the other categories, so Black Ops 2 is now in the top 20.
With the recent official announcement of Black Ops 2, a reveal trailer has been released, you can watch it here:
That was beautifully executed...
The release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is November 13, 2012; to be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC.

Currently in development by Canadian game studio, Relic Entertainment, some details about the next COH have also been revealed. The main campaign for the RTS (Real Time Strategy) is set around the eastern front during World War II, as the player will be taking the role as the Russians, as you can see from the cover. When doesn't it snow in Russia? We can see that there will also be snow, and lots of it. Disadvantages of the snow is that it slows down vehicles and troops in the game, but the advantages are that they provide cover.
New gameplay feature will allow units to climb over cover, but limited to low walls. Eventually, a release date was also found, which is sometime in 2013.
If you're too lazy to read that paragraph, let me cut it down:
- Eastern Front, Russia
- Snow, and lots of it, helps for cover, but slows units
- Units can climb over cover
- Release in 2013
Details are limited at the moment, as further details will come in the latter months as we get closer to 2013. I can't wait to play this one, I loved playing COH Online, and playing as the Russians is going to be bad ass!
If you thought manual transmissions were dead (Well...in the US), think again! Numbers from car pricing website Edmunds report that 6.5% of new vehicle sales had a manual transmission. That statistic was the highest since 2006, although, the statistic also reported that 10% fewer new car models offered them in the last five years.
Why the increase of vehicles with manual transmissions? No one exactly knows, not even the automakers. A change in consumer behavior? Possibly. The increasing demand for manual transmissions surprised automaker Ford, as they reported that their Focus model received double the original prediction, which is now at about 10%.
As the future comes, we won't know if manual transmissions will be able to survive any longer, as the automatic transmissions grow increasingly dominant. One way to help the survival of the manual is to use it, by learning how to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
With the next Hitman game coming to stores this year, new screenshots have emerged showing off the visuals of the game and a barbecue in progress...
Source: GameInformer
The main character, Agent 47, can be seen in a screenshot creeping on a barbecue party, mostly attempting to get by them or to eliminate the group, in which it would be a really bad day for the "party" goers.

Hitman: Absolution is currently in development by IO Interactive and has an unknown release date this year, set publisher will be Square Enix. Absolution will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
