Today, 343 and Microsoft announced that Halo 4 would get a Limited Edition, which is available for pre-order. The Limited Edition will cost you $100 as you will receive a stunning looking box as well as numerous features. You will also be able to unlock six specialization to use in multiplayer, early access to nine maps that will make its way to Halo 4 after the release, as well as a 90 minute long preview of the upcoming live action webseries Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, and other bonus content! Although, specific details were not released for the maps and specializations, but reports say that more details will be revealed during E3 2012.

Character customization will be available through the multiplayer, which is linked to a starship called the UNSC Infinity, allowing you to modify your Spartan-IV to your liking within the game's customization ability.

A new game mode has been revealed, which are Spartan Ops missions, that are story-based missions related to the main campaign, which will have new missions on a weekly basis through Xbox Live. A good thing is that the missions will be free of charge, allowing players to play by themselves or through co-op with three other players.

I almost forgot, there's another game mode, but for multiplayer. This mode is called War Games, and will include new modes that haven't been revealed yet. This mode will take on the combat deck of the UNSC Infinity.

  1. A hundred bucks is a decent price for a LE... I'll probably just play the retail version though, if at all.

  4. Played all 3 Halos so far. I didn't really care much for Halo 2 or Halo 3 though honestly. The multiplayer is great but the magic from the 1st one disappeared. I'll give this one a try as well but I don't think I'll be purchasing the LE.
